Honors Diploma 26-27 (click for the Honors Diploma Worksheet)
To qualify for a WCSD Honors Diploma a student must meet all of the WCSD Standard Diploma credit requirements and complete each additional requirement outlined below. Complete ONE of the following from each section:
- English – CE English, AP Language Arts, CE Eng 2010 (if CE Eng 1010 is not needed)
- Math – CE Math course of CE Math 1030 or higher as listed on UTU’s GE requirements, AP Calculus
- Science – CE Life Science or Physical Science as listed on the UTU’s GE requirements, AP Science
- Social Science – CE Social and Behavioral Science course as listed on UTU’s GE requirements, AP Psych, AP European History
Additional Requirements-Complete any combination of two of the following:
- Complete a CE Fine Arts course, as listed on UTU’s GE requirements OR AP Studio Arts
- Complete a CE Lit/Humanities course, as listed on UTU’s GE requirements
- Complete a CE American Institutions course, as listed on UTU’s GE requirements OR AP US History OR AP US Government
- Complete the additional Life or Physical Science requirement from above
- Complete English 2010 (if not used to complete the Language Arts section above)
High Honors Diploma 26-27
Cumulative GPA of 3.75 or Higher
Students graduating with a cumulative GPA of a 3.75 and completing all Honors Diploma requirements will be recognized as High Honors graduates.
Valedictorian 26-27
Cumulative GPA of 4.00
- Students must complete all requirements for the High Honors Diploma AND receive a cumulative GPA of a 4.0.
- Must apply for Sterling Scholar.
Administration will select one valedictorian graduate to speak at graduation.
